The benefits and drawbacks of primary research methods are covered in detail in the first lesson, developing with secondary methods in the next lesson. Identifying and meeting customer needs by market segment is then explored before looking at competitor behaviour. Methods of obtaining a competitive advantage is then covered in the fourth lesson. Finally, the suitability of alternative market research methods is examined in a short revision lesson before a final assessment of the complete series of lessons, modelled on the Pearson assignment can be undertaken.
