Pack B: Summary - Endorsed by OCR
This pack covers Learning Outcomes 3 and 4 of Unit R082.
These teaching materials cover Learning Outcomes 3 and 4 in Unit R082: Creating digital graphics of the 2019 OCR Cambridge National in Creative iMedia Level 1/Level 2 specification.
Topic 1 of this unit begins by sourcing assets for use in various creations. Students then cover how to compile an image using a range of essential basic and advanced design tools and techniques, including isolation and masks. Coverage of file formats and resolution is covered in the penultimate lesson before finishing with a review.
Topics 2-5 include practical projects that students should try to replicate. These cover a large number of both basic and advanced image editing techniques that students should be aware of. Each of the seven topics may be spread over more than one lesson, especially if time is spent in the lessons working on the projects, exercises and going over homework tasks.
Lesson resources include the original .PSD Photoshop files, containing each individual layer which can be used for demonstration and exemplars. Worksheet exercises and examples are written for use with Photoshop and GIMP software.
The iMedia Teaching Series has been written to satisfy the specification for the elements assessed by written examination for the OCR Nationals in Creative iMedia Level 1/2 specification. Each pack contains:
