The material covers all aspects of input and output devices used in computer systems. The input devices include: barcode scanners, document scanners, QR code scanners, cameras, keyboards, pointing devices, microphones, touch screens, sensors and interactive whiteboards. The output devices include printers, 3D printers, cutters, screens/monitors, loudspeakers and multi-media light projectors. The principles of operation of each device are explained with a range of real-life applications. The use of sensors for monitoring and feedback and their applications is also covered.

The test is provided with IGCSE exam style questions to assess understanding across all lessons in the unit. It is a theoretical unit covering the relevant sections of the Cambridge IGCSE® 0478 / 0984 and O Level 2210 Computer Science specification.

What people say...

The A level units that we have purchased from PG Online are the first resources I have purchased that do what they say on the box. A complete scheme of work, nothing else required! At a time when the ICT/computing curriculum is in complete flux, these resources have been the rock we needed to hang on to. They have saved us many hours of work and have helped students (and staff) understand the curriculum. Thank you.

Steve Casey. Head of Computing, The Burgate School and Sixth Form

Very helpful assessments, easy to assess and the resources are perfect for teaching. Thanks.
