Summary - New: 3rd Edition

This is an introduction to graphics and graphic file types. The unit explores how bitmap and vector images are represented and stored by the computer. There is also opportunity for pupils to practise skills in design, photo editing and image manipulation using layers to create a movie poster using a suitable graphics package such as Photoshop. The pupils’ final posters are put into an assessment portfolio.

What people say...

[The KS3 units are]..."very useful especially as most of my colleagues are new to computing. Its great having a starting point and guidance on assessment. Theory at KS3 is a new concept for most but it is actually going down well and adding purpose to the lessons."

Mr J Pritchett. Head of Computing, Brookfield Community School

PG Online material for KS3 has been instrumental in helping me transit from ICT to Computing with a department of just two. Cutting down work load in planning SOW and resources. All material have been adapted to suit our school with ease and the pupils are really enjoying the programming elements.

Mark Fegan. Head of Computing and ICT, Sacred Heart High School
