This pack of resources is the second of seven packs for Unit 1 of Pearson Level 3 AAQ BTEC National in Information Technology.

The resources in this pack cover A4 and A5 of the specification with four topics and an end-of-unit assessment. Topics each contain material for one or two lessons. The first topic considers how IT systems are chosen including the key aspects of user needs, implementation, productivity and security. The second topic looks at different IT systems used by organisations including various uses such as stock control, data logging, creative tasks and automation. Topic 3 covers the impact and implications of IT systems including user experience, needs, cost and training. The final topic looks at emerging technologies and their implications for both personal use and in organisations. An assessment test in included as an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of the topics covered in this pack.
