OCR AS and A Level Computer Science
380pp
Available in printed paperback format, or as a digital subscription edition
A complete course text which includes AS and A Level for the H046/H446 specifications.
The book is divided into 12 sections, each containing roughly six chapters. Each chapter covers material that can comfortably be taught in one or two lessons. It will also be a useful reference and revision guide for students throughout the A Level course. Content applicable to the A Level only is indicated throughout the textbook.
Each chapter contains exercises, some new and some from past examination papers, which can be set as homework. Answers to all these are available to teachers only, in a Teachers' Supplement which can be ordered and downloaded via the website.
To accompany this textbook, PG Online also publishes a series of 12 downloadable teaching units. Unit 10 Computational thinking is free. Each topic in a unit consists of a PowerPoint presentation, teacher’s notes, worksheets, homework sheets and a final assessment test with exam-style questions. Each topic within a unit is expected to be taught over several lessons in a week. Units are sold as a lifetime site licence and may be loaded onto the school’s private network or VLE.

Having looked at your A level textbooks, which are excellent, we would now want to have a look at the new GCSE textbooks and we will be recommending them to our new computer science students.
